Skin Booster

The Skin Booster is a procedure which uses hyaluronic acid to improve your skin and hydrate it in-depth. The formula of most dermal fillers is designed to achieve natural volume and contouring. Unlike them, Skin Boosters have a softer consistency so they can enter the skin even deeper and gradually improve its condition. This results in a healthier, more toned skin, visibly hale and shining.

Skin Boosters are suitable for both men and women. They can be used on both younger and more mature skin. It all depends on how much the body has lost the ability to produce hyaluronic acid.

Injecting a Skin Booster involves slight pain and a very fine needle. The procedure is suitable for removing puffiness around the eyes and restoring the chin’s contour. It can also be applied around the neck and neckline to remove any wrinkles. Last but not least, it is used in the area of the lips for better hydration and contouring. The Skin Booster is suitable for people with dry skin or for those who have visibly enlarged pores or scars.

IMPORTANT

Your dermatologist must verify the safety and quality of the substances used in the procedure. AestheLine Dermatology Clinic only uses hyaluronic acid solutions that have been officially registered for use in Bulgaria, clinically tested, and passed quality certification.

The in-clinic dermatologist, who has been trained and certified to use the solution, will prepare the patient for the procedure and strictly observe an established clinical protocol. The specialist will use a marker to draw the areas where the Skin Booster will be injected. For better comfort, we may apply an anesthetic cream beforehand. Depending on the zones being treated, the injection takes between 20 and 40 minutes.

This treatment is not recommended for patients suffering from epilepsy or for those who are prone to developing scarring, are hypersensitive to hyaluronic acid, pregnant or nursing women, and children.
After the procedure, the injection sites may be red and swollen, which will pass in a couple of hours. It’s possible to have some bruising which will pass in 2 weeks at most. Very rarely, there may be inflammation or a more long-term feeling of thickening.

After the procedure, the effect is immediately noticeable, and the skin’s appearance visibly improves over 3 to 4 weeks. The effect’s duration depends on the patient’s physiology and habits. Depending on the individual’s specifics, hyaluronic acid is decomposed by the body over 6 to 12 months. With each subsequent product application, the effect’s duration may increase.

To achieve more long-lasting results, it is advisory to undergo 3 procedures, one per month. It is recommended to undergo a maintaining one-time procedure in 6 months to maintain the result you’ve achieved.
